Per usual, with a late night, a late morning followed. We grabbed brunch at a local spot called Rong Cafe that had delicious panini sandwiches and fruit power bowls. I myself enjoyed a cocoa, peanut butter, and chia seed covered banana bowl that was reinvigorating.
After we replenished some calories we had danced away the night before at the Full Moon Festival, we went to Haad Ban Tai Beach. This was our last day on Koh Phangan, and we wanted to hit multiple different beach spots during our time on Phangan. At Haad Ban Tai Beach, we met up with Kathrin, Ferdinand, and Tim for a few more games of Spikeball until sundown. Meanwhile, Morgan and Joseph rented paddle boards and cruised around the smooth Gulf of Thailand. After another set of three very competitive and fun games, we sipped on coconuts and Thai beer as we watched our last sunset on Koh Phangan. It was the last night on the island for all of us, with Tim heading back to Munich and Kathrin and Ferdinand heading to Australia next. Kathrin and Ferdinand are newlyweds and on a 1 year worldwide travel tour. How amazing! If I ever get married, I can’t possibly imagine a better honeymoon.
Following the great beach session with our friends, we elected to have dinner together. We went to a restaurant called Mama’s Kitchen, where two Thai women cooked all of the meals from scratch. Given this, the food took some time to arrive, but it was well worth the wait! Very affordable and high quality Thai food make this an easy recommendation! After dinner, we said our “see you laters,” (because I don’t like to say goodbye with hopes of crossing paths in the future) and returned to the Air BnB.
