My name is Travis Tagsold and my home base is in San Diego, California, United States. Back in 2017, I had my first opportunity to explore the world overseas. An impactful yet all too short 18 days across Europe awoken something inside me. Those of you who have also been bitten by the travel bug can understand the strong wanderlust. Traveling offers endless opportunities to explore the world, meet and connect with people, and gain perspective about yourself and the wondeful world we share. Now that the world is coming out of lockdown, the mass need and desire for travel has never been greater.
Starting in January 2023, I spent 159 days traveling across Asia, Central America, Europe, and even a few days in Africa. While I went into this journey with an open mind, open heart, and zero expectations, I gained a broadened perspective and lifelong memories. I strived to continue pushing the limits of my comfort zone outward, as growth can only exist outside of the comfort zone. I connected with people from all walks of life, both locals and travelers alike, listening and appreciating both differences and similarities, and sharing stories. I share updates on my endeavors for those interested in following along, including details about where I go, what I do, people I meet, recommendations, and the beautiful impact of traveling.
Note: This is the first website I've created, and I've built it from scratch without using Wordpress or other site building platforms to develop coding skills while traveling (thank you Hunter Brennick for the guidance). In addition to creating blog content, I will continue to develop the layout and style of the site to enhance aesthetics and functionality.
